On Monday, 23 March 2020 the South African Presidency announced a 21-day period national lockdown from Friday 27 March 2020 to Thursday 17 April 2020 to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

Insure Group Managers has taken all the necessary steps to adhere to the directives governing the lockdown whilst ensuring that our business services continue uninterrupted during this period. This includes:
  • System Availability: All our core operational systems (including the Xcelerate collections / payments system) are hosted on cloud-based platforms or in data centers making them accessible to staff at any location through a secure Internet connection. Business support services, including email and other Internet based services, are also cloud based and accessible remotely. Technical support for operational systems have been configured and are available remotely through secure connections. This has been tested successfully.

  • Work-from-home deployment: All critical and essential staff have been technically equipped to continue normal operations from home-based locations. The required infrastructure and minimum-security measures have been confirmed. Staff have been deployed to such locations and operability tested successfully.

  • Essential Services exemption: The category "essential financial and payment services" has been listed as an exclusion from the forced company closure requirements. We are in the process of applying for recognition as an Essential Service Supplier with the Department of Trade and Industry in accordance with the regulations and requirements announced by the Department. We believe Insure Group Managers operates within this category and once this has been confirmed staff will be issued with the relevant documentation in order to allow them to travel to the office should it become necessary in a case of emergency to support business continuation.

  • Switchboard services: Given that all staff have been deployed to home-based locations, our normal switchboard services will not be available during the period. Please take note of the alternative switchboard number: 082 414 7034.

We can comfortably give all our clients and stakeholders the best possible assurance that all measures have been taken to ensure that business services will continue with minimum disruption during this prescribed lockdown period.

Given the extraordinary circumstances under which we will be operating, a slight delay in response to queries may be experienced, we will endeavor to limit this as far as possible and request your patience in this regard.
