Insure Group Managers to conduct Disaster Recovery Test on 20 and 21 November 2017

Insure Group Managers will be conducting a Disaster Recovery test on 20 to 21 November 2017. This may have some impact on normal service delivery and operations during this period.

This is in line with the Groups' commitment to the protection of client data and being compliant with Disaster Recovery Procedures and Business Continuity Management as required by the various regulators applicable to its business.

As our clients are already aware, it is necessary for the Company to perform scheduled and unscheduled tests on a regular basis to ensure recovery and continuity measures are of a satisfactory nature and remain operable at all times.

The test scenario for this specific test will be to test the company's ability to continue providing services in the event that the Head Office in Randburg should become inoperable.

The company provided the following details to clients regarding this test:

20 – 21 November – Alternate hosting site operations:
On these 2 days, operations will be conducted from the alternate hosting site, on a restricted infrastructure with limited resources. Although every effort will be made to ensure the best service levels possible, there may be some delays and interruptions as unforeseen circumstances may arise.
Downtime:

As a result of the continuous refinement of Disaster Recovery infrastructure, platforms and technology, no downtime on any systems is anticipated or planned for. The test will merely require redirecting connectivity to the alternate site from where staff will be conducting operations. Downtime will only result should unexpected technical issues arise.

On 22 November 2017, connectivity will be restored back to the main site and staff will be operating at the Head Office as usual.

There will be no disruption to the daily reporting of transactions to clients and automated correspondence will be distributed as usual.
